Shoshone Medical Center is located in the heart of the Silver Valley in Kellogg, Idaho, and is a Critical Access facility  We are a 25 bed rural hospital that offers 24 hour physician staffed emergency department services with up-to-date radiology and laboratory diagnostic equipment and technicians. Both general and orthopedic surgery is offered for outpatient and inpatient convenience as well as cataract day surgery. We have entered a new era in rural healthcare and are excited about the many avenues that are opening up for our small community hospital.  On January 15th, 2005 we moved into a brand new state-of-the-art hospital, designed specifically for our Critical Access status.  It is a beautiful facility!   Shoshone Medical Center offers a good working environment and the small town community feel that tends to get lost in larger facilities. Situated in a beautiful mountain valley, we are located between Silver Mountain Ski and Summer Resort (less than one mile to the Gondola base) and Lookout Pass Ski and Recreation Area, just 25 miles east of us off I-90. We have year round outdoor activities whether your interest is in hunting, fishing, hiking, biking, boating, skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, camping or just relaxing, Shoshone County is unbeatable. The 72 mile "Rails to Trails" path winding its way from Plummer, Idaho through the Silver Valley up to the Montana/Idaho border at the top of Lookout Pass is now open for pedestrian and bike traffic.
